Why Modular?

Simplex Modular Homes are built indoors in Climate Controlled Production Facilities - similar to the way your car was built. By building indoors, we also never have to stop work due to rain, wind, snow or other weather conditions. We then wrap your home in protective material to help shield it from the elements. This process helps insure your home is built faster than a site built home so you and your family can enjoy the home you’ve designed.

Climate Controlled Construction may be the single most important advantage Simplex Modular Homes have over site built homes.

Craftsmanship/Made In The USA
For over 40 years Simplex has been a family owned and operated company. Many of our craftsmen have been with us almost since the beginning of our company – and it’s not uncommon to find second generation Simplex employees on our shop floors or offices. We don’t simply employ seasonal labor – we invest in our own long term USA based workforce (our manufacturing and administrative offices are in Scranton, Pennsylvania). The value of their extensive experience is incorporated into each and every Simplex Modular Home.

We also pay attention to the details. For example, we have several in-house fabrication shops that can produce finished custom stairs, doors and countertops – another example of the way we build quality into the process by controlling all phases of the construction of your new Simplex Home.

Independent 3rd Party On-Site Factory Inspection
All Simplex Modular Homes are built under the watchful eyes of independent 3rd party inspectors. These inspectors will certify that your new Simplex Home meets the building requirements of your state (in many cases your Simplex Homes will exceed these standards).

GREEN Building
We at Simplex have been nationally recognized by the winning the top design award for GREEN Building by the Building Systems Council (BSC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

All Simplex Modular Homes are built in one of the most environment-friendly production facilities in our industry. Simplex long ago pioneered the concept of “Planet Friendly Homes”; this means we pay attention to GREEN details. Just about any material that can be recycled such as wire, wood scraps, metal and more are collected at our facilities. For example, we don’t buy paint in cans that then end up in landfills. Instead, we buy paint in large re-usable totes. In addition to recycling, our intent is to use renewable resources such as fast growing wood to help insure the sustainability of our forests.

As part of our Energy Star effort, we are proud to feature products like Energy Star windows, doors, appliances and more in Simplex Modular Homes. Our building systems focus on energy conservation. For example, we foam seal around electric outlets to help eliminate drafts. Other energy saving options such as On Demand Hot Water are also available. At Simplex, we have an energy star ready program designed to work with your local energy star ready program designed to work with your local energy star rater.

Name Brand Products
DuPont. Moen. Wood-Made. Kohler – and many more. These are just some of top names in consumer/ building products and materials that will go into your new Simplex home. And we also strive to include as many “Made In The USA” products as possible.

One area where site builders can cut corners is to use off-brand building materials. Simplex is proud to provide you with a list of the products used in your home – a list often difficult to obtain from a site builder.

We understand you are not only building a home for you and your family to enjoy for many years to come, but you are also making one of, it not the largest investment you will ever make. Simplex helps protect your investment and gives it the best opportunity to grow by using only the name brand products and materials that have traditionally stood the test of time, protected homes, and help homes hold and increase their value.
