National Green Building Excellence Award For Simplex
Simplex Industries has won the 2012 Jerry Rouleau Award for Excellence in Marketing and Home Design in the category of Green Modular Building. The award was presented by The Building Systems Council (BSC) and named for a longtime BSC member. Simplex took home the top award for their work on the Bancroft Green luxury townhome project in Philadelphia. Simplex was also awarded an Honorable Mention for building a luxury Wayne County Lake Home. That award was for homes between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet in living space.
"We are honored to win the top award from the BSC," said Simplex President Patrick Frichionne, Jr. "Jerry was a long time friend of our entire industry and his loss due to cancer last year was a loss we all felt. Also, The Bancroft Green project was a very special project with many environmentally friendly but luxury design features that Jerry would have loved."
Simplex will receive their awards this coming February at The National Association of Home Builders International Building Show in Orlando, Florida.
The townhomes Simplex built for Bancroft Green are awaiting notification to determine if they have achieved prestigious LEED Platinum status. According to the U.S Green Building Council, LEED certified homes are designed and constructed in accordance with rigorous guidelines established for the program. LEED building promotes the design and construction of high performance green homes. Simplex is a longtime "Green" builder and has built other LEED as well as Energy Star 5 Star + Homes.
Simplex Industries is a nationally known, award winning company that has been the leader in the field of high quality modular construction for almost 40 years. The family owned and operated company is also one of the region’s largest employers.
