The Best of the Best

On November 7, 2007 Simplex held its annual Christmas Party at the Inn at Nichols Village. The party was attended by all salaried employees and their guests. The Five, Ten, Fifteen, Twenty and Twenty-five year employees were honored and received gifts for their services. This year, George Butcher and Al Peters became esteemed members of the Thirty year club.

Also, the recipients of the "Henry P. Fricchione Award" and the "Patrick A. Fricchione, Sr. Award" were announced. These prestigious awards honor the outstanding non-salaried employee of the year. These two awards were named for the founders of Simplex Industries, Inc. and honor one employee among many for their outstanding services in 2007.

Michael L. Kamansky was the 2007 recipient of the "Henry P. Fricchione Award". Past recipients Brian Grunza, Lee St. Clair, Brian Murphey and Jim Ott were also on hand to congratulate Mike. Mike is a graduate form Johnson Collage and started his career at Simplex in 2001 in the Outside Mill Department. He currently works in the Panel Shop at Plat#2, and also is a member of the Safety Committee. Mike is the son of Richard and Joan Kamansky and reside in Brooklyn, PA.

Roy Ritchey, an employee since 2000, was the first runner up. Roy works in the Carpet Department in Plant #2

Tony Farinelli was the recipient of the 2007 "Patrick A. Fricchione, Sr. Award". Past recipients of the award are Bill "cookie" Thomas, Jennifer Russell, George Butcher and Charlie Puza. Tony has been with Simplex since 2000 and spent most of his career as out Transportation Manager. He has a demanding job of managing our our fleet of trucks and drivers and ensures our homes and drivers get to and from our builders job site safely. Tony is a native of New Jersey and he and his wife, Nichole, and their daughter live in Forest City.

Both Mike and Tony were presented with a proclamation, a plaque with their names that will be proudly displayed in the corporate office and an all expense paid vacation weekend for two at Caesar's Pocono Resort.
